GCSE Exam Analysis

With the new progress and attainment measures introduced this year, along with the new qualifications and grading system (9 - 1 in English and maths), it is hard to make direct comparisons to results in previous years, but what we do know is that many of our students achieved some excellent grades.

Some of the key headline figures are:

·         60% of our students achieved the equivalent of 5 A*- C GCSE grades

·         55% of our boys achieved the equivalent of 5 A*- C GCSE grades

·         67% of our girls achieved the equivalent of 5 A*- C GCSE grades

·         57% of our Pupil Premium students achieved the equivalent of 5 A*- C GCSE grades

·         71% of our Non-Pupil Premium achieved the equivalent of 5 A*- C GCSE grades

·         56% of our students achieved a pass in at least two sciences (A*-C)

·         39% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above (A*- C equiv.) in both English and maths

·         20% of our students achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and maths

·         6% of our students achieved the English Baccalaureate

·        Our average attainment 8 score per pupil was 38.28

Progress 8 is still being calculated nationally and we will add this in as soon as we can provide an accurate figure.
