Holloway School was founded in 1907, originally as a boys' school. We have had many developments on this site since then, but we are now a fully comprehensive school for 11-16 year old boys and girls.
We are situated in a pleasant residential area close to the Camden - Islington border, served by good bus, train and tube services. We are situated within the London Borough of Islington.
Holloway School admits 180 boys and girls per year group.
We are now a member of the Islington Sixth form Partnership: this means that all of our students are guaranteed a place to study beyond the age of 16 at City and Islington College - an OFSTED rated "Outstanding" provision.
- Holloway School's new facilities were completed in May 2010 in partnership with Transform Schools and Balfour Beatty.
- We now benefit from an £18.5 million complete re-build and re-model of the school. We now have a state of the art building with specialist rooms for all subject areas.
- The school site now has extensive recreation and play space (including a roof top Peace Garden), a welcoming reception area, a new assembly area, and spacious dining areas. The modern building compliments the traditional front of the newly re-furbished Edwardian block.
- The building works complete the modernisation of the site which already includes a swimming pool, an Astroturf pitch, a new Sports hall and a state of the art fitness gym.
